![]() You can find a list of what Union changes here (click on english tab to change language) and for Systempack here.Īs far as I know all mods from the tools and patches categories are compatible with each other (except if they are change the same things). But that explains why they are incompatible, because they are different version of the same thing. I noticed however that Union has a new section in Systempack.ini for more mouse settings, if you had issues with that before (because I had). You will likely not notice any difference between these two versions. Why does Spine not make Union the default? I don't know, mabe it will in the future. Union is an updated version of the Systempack (Systempack 1.9) and the default Systempack that you get when you install Spine is version 1.8. I don't know why older versions are still available on Spine, but maybe it has to do with compatibility for people who where already using this version and need to keep it.įor D3D11 renderer the latest version is clockwork edition, when in doubt you can also look at the last uptated time to realize this. Systempack 1.6 is an older version, don't use it. So I guess my question is if there's a definitive guide out there to using Spine and what mods are best and work together to upgrade Gothic II graphics and game fixes but without new content? Information about what each does is a bit hard to find, another example would be dx11 mods which are a few to select from. Also I've read about Union mod but it does not seem compatible with Systempack. For example, I noticed Spine already comes with Systempack, but in the database I found Systempack 1.6. Reading the subreddit I stumbled upon multiple posts about Spine, and I tried my hand in it but it left me a bit confused. I'm not looking for extra content or missions, as I haven't even played Night of the Raven yet, just the vanilla feeling with upgrades. I'm looking to mod the game to a somewhat modern graphics standards and some minor bugfixes and quality of life changes. I have not played this game since my adolescence years. I am a long time fan of PB game series returning to Gothic II. ![]()
